News Broadcasting: What's Truth And What's Toxic

News is a form of communication of specific information that specifically deals with current events either by printed words, internet, television or word of mouth. Thanks to the combination of technology and our human desire to give and seek knowledge from one another, we can now be updated more quickly.

However, since humanity has not yet fully evolved from the primitive desires of the insecure ego, some people would deliberately lie to others for the sake of feeling very important as well as deceiving others into doing things that benefits the agenda of the liars (A.K.A Propaganda).

With that said, in this day in age where B.S is more likely to be spread, it is best to view all perspectives as well as researching their resources of information and come to your best conclusion with rational thinking.

I would encourage you to be independent with your learning and taking your time to learn by yourself. But just to give you a little help on your way to start this, here are a few obvious examples.

Good: Fora TV

Fora TV runs several Medias including their website that gathers collection of news and events. Fora TV is more well known for broadcasting lectures, debates on universities and conferences, which invites the most deep thinking intellectuals of our time. Their site also provides a forum where people can discuss information on public affairs, politics and culture around the entire globe. FORA.tv also teamed up with WIRED creating a channel that features videos about the day's most important technological, science, business, and cultural issues across the world. This was were I was first introduced to politics and social issues, as well as certain issues with religion. That's where I also learned about the most incredible intellectuals such as Christopher Hitchens, Ayaan Hirsi Ali and Noam Chompsky. I now own some of their books. I think this is a very good healthy start on learning facts and Issues more than bias reports that selects minor informations of what's really going on.

It's free to sign up, however I think it might cost to download some of their videos into your computer in order to get them on your iPod.

REALLY AWFUL: Fox News

Wow... Where should I start... Well, for one thing. they have fanatically strong right-winged opinions, which includes the following;

Their "Opinions"
-Gay marriage weakens the US (for some strange reasons).
-Scientists lie about environmental issues.
-Christian doctrines are the proximate source of the (secular) constitution of the US.
-Atheists are immoral and evil.
-Immigrants destroy the fabric of american society.

Even though there's more to the list of their opinions, but I think you might get the point of what kind of people they are.

Another indication of their venomous nature is the different tactics of their cast members. Bill O'Reilly seeks out and finds people who have different views than Fox News and invites them only to be brow beaten into feeling inferior. Bill also uses name calling and certain terms to make their opinions as valid news while excluding specific information. Glen Beck (in my opinion) is the most despicably vile creature of the entire cast. Heres why I come to believe that. He uses fear and non-logic to make people feel insignificant and angry at any non-conservative thought. On one occasion Glen Beck had shown a random but real footage of some college student from some university being beaten to death by some gang mongers. He then looks at the camera with a stern face and basically stated that because we do not mention the christian god more in our schools, dollar bills and in our christmas songs, that college student died as the result of it..... Without knowing of what this student believed in, Fox basically profited his death with snuff videos for enforcing hate against non-conservative non-Fox thought.

I don't want to say anything more about Fox News since I have a hard time keeping the vomit underneath my throat. To those of you who are still having a hard time believing why Fox News deserves to be the most horrible thing on the awful list, You can type in TheYoungTurks.com and these underdog reporters will have plenty of shocking videos for you.

Even though I did stated from a previous post that Youtube is awful and I do not want to be viewed as a hypocrite for suggesting anything from Youtube. But if you are having a hard time finding all of their videos on their actual site and have no other choice, I would then suggest going to Youtube just to look up at The Young Turks while adding either Glen Beck, Fox News or Bill O'Reilly, and see what you find.

I don't need to explain anymore on something already putrid and morally vile.
